Jason Moody has been in the area for over 7 years and Lesley Winfield for over 16 years. They are happy to bring some of what they love, and share their passions with such a wonderful community. Pandora’s was opened in October of 2013, and they hope it will be around to serve you for many years to come, providing books, tea, and gaming opportunities!
Historic Uptowne Olds:
Pandora’s Boox & Tea is located in a local historic landmark! The Canadian Band of Commerce constructed this brick building with living quarters on the second floor in 1910, and it served the community until the Great Depression force the bang to close in 1934, along with 24 other branches throughout the country. The two-story brick building is typical of commercial bank buildings of the time.
The building was used as the Post Office from 1934-1958 and then became the public library. Since then a variety of businesses have used the building including a photo shop, bookstore, drugstore, quilters guild and art gallery.
It is now home to Pandoar’s Boox & Tea which has a variety of used books in all genres, loose tea to go or to stay as well as a variety of other warm beverages and lattes, or cold beverages such as iced tea and smoothies. They also carry a wide selection of board games to play in store or to purchase. There are a number of activities hosted weekly with options for everyone!
